Abstract


DİJİTAL SAĞLIK KAYITLARININ ÇOCUK SAĞLIĞI HİZMETLERİNDEKİ ROLÜ: YÖNETİMSEL STRATEJİLER VE ÖNERİLER

Objective: This study aims to investigate the functional contributions of digital health records to pediatric health services and to propose managerial strategies that can enhance the effective integration of these systems. Takingin to account the complexity of clinical processes unique to pediatric patients, the study evaluates the influence of digitalization on service quality, patient safety, and inter professional coordination. Method: There search draws upon current literature, established health management models, and national and international implementation examples concerning the use of digital health records in pediatric care. A comparative assessment was conducted within a theoretical frame work that examines the managerial, technological, and ethical dimensions of digitalization processes. Findings: The analysis demonstrates that digital health records improve the accuracy, completeness, and traceability of pediatric patient data, there by supporting a comprehensive and coordinated approach to diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up. Additionally, accelerated data sharing, enhanced communication among multidisciplinary teams, and improvements in patient safety emerge as notable advantages. From a managerial stand point, digital health records were found to strengthen decision-support systems, increase flexibility in resource allocation, and enable more effective monitoring of performance indicators. Conclusion: The systematic integration of digital health records into pediatric health offers services a strategic means of advancing service quality and operational efficiency. In this regard, it is recommended that health care institutions are reining in their power their digital infrastructure, enhance the digital competencies of personnel, revise data security policies in line with ethical considerations specific to children, and implement standardized documentation protocols. Overall, the on going digital transformation in health care provides a significant managerial opportunity to support the development of sustainable, high-quality pediatric care.
